Byju’s likely to raise $200 million at $12 billion valuation: Report

Nearly two months after raising $ 500 million, online educator Byju’s plans to raise another $ 200 million for BlackRock and T Rowe through a new round of funding from U.S. investment firms. Edtech in Bengaluru last raised $ 500 million in September from a group of investors, including private equity firm Silver Lake Partners, as well as existing investors General Atlantic, Owl Ventures and Tiger. Global, valued at $ 10.8 billion, LiveMint reported. BlackRock, Sands Capital and Alkeon Capital also joined as new investors in the same cycle, bringing the value of start-ups to $ 11.1 billion.
