Google’s new “hum to search” feature helps you find songs you can’t name

The latest addition to Google Mobile Search may include your buzz, whistle, and song to identify songs. Search buzz starts when you ask Google “What is this song?” then continue playing the melody tracks to the best of your ability. When you’re done, Google will show you the actual songs based on the percentage of matches that it thinks best matches your performance. The model was trained from several sources, where in addition to the actual studio recordings, real people also sang, hummed and whistled.
