At the outset, the film had everything to capture the audience’s interest and attention- Kajol, for a first, and the story of a single mother who joins her son’s college, in order to complete her education. The trailer seemed fun and perky, with the promise of a generous dose of melodrama in the film. Her son is all hers and she becomes a rather obsessive and protective parent, much to his chagrin. The film veers between trying to show the evolution of a relationship between the two and Eela’s own journey to fulfill her dreams. The relationship between Kajol and Riddhi Sen is enjoyable to watch and quite natural;
